We don’t have a U.S. release date for Cal McMau’s prison drama yet, but it’s coming out in U.K. and Irish theaters on February 20. David Jonsson plays inmate Taylor, who is very close to getting early parole thanks to his continued good behaviour. But when he gets a new cell mate who completely alters the power dynamics within the prison, everything changes. Wasteman is a masterclass in acting from both leads and is a much more poignant and unpredictable drama than other films in the genre.

Jonah Hill directs this Apple TV dark comedy about a beloved Hollywood star (Keanu Reeves) who must confront his hidden demons after a video emerges that will alter the public’s perception of him. And so, our protagonist sets off on a journey to make amends, with the secret aim of trying to identify his blackmailer. Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and Jonah Hill also star in Outcome.

Our protagonist, Lowen (Dakota Johnson), moves to the couple’s (Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett) house while completing the job, but she soon finds out disturbing truths. Clayface, whose name is a reference to its shape-shifting nature, has always been an interesting character in this universe as he is sometimes a villain and sometimes an ally for Batman. Tom Rhys Harries will play him in the movie, with Max Minghella, Naomi Ackie and more stars attached too. The screenplay is from Hossein Amini and Mike Flanagan.

The first in a series of movies that will re-tell the beloved C.S. Lewis books, the film tells the story of the origin of Narnia, adapting the first book. Confirmed cast members include Daniel Craig, Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, and Denise Gough.

Regardless, the Brad Pitt-starring movie is a highly anticipated release, especially given the success of Berger’s previous film.

Another Jumanji sequel to be released soon, and given how surprisingly good 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level was, it definitely makes this list. Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, and Karen Gillan will all return for a film that will keep telling the story of the games.
68. Avengers: Doomsday (Dec. 18, 2026)

Will the choice to have Robert Downey Jr. play Doctor Doom despite his previous role as Iron Man pay off? We’ll find out in Avengers: Doomsday, which is coming to theaters on December 18. As usual with Marvel, we don’t know much about it yet, but based on the trailer and cast list, we should expect to see the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and the X-Men in the movie.

Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides in the third part of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune saga, in what is possibly the most anticipated movie of the whole year. And if you’ve seen the previous film, you’ll understand why the sequel is called Dune: Messiah. The hype is justified for a movie that will be shot with IMAX cameras and might include some very unexpected names in the cast.

Denis Villeneuve will have some competition, as Robert Eggers’s Werwulf will also be released on Christmas Day. The film takes place in medieval Britain, wher a mysterious supernatural creature is terrifying the countryside, transforming folklore into a real, tangible danger. Cast members include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe.
