Summer TV is heating up in a big way, and July is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months of the year for streaming. We’ll be seeing a wave of brand-new series and high-profile premieres arriving, bringing everything from nostalgic reboots and buzzy adaptations to gripping thrillers and glossy dramas.
I don’t know what to be most excited about: the new Legally Blonde prequel Elle, the new Will Ferrell series The Hawk, the new Anya Taylor-Joy crime thriller Lucky, or Blumhouse Television’s new spin-off of Worst Roommate Ever, Worst Neighbor Ever. But that’s not all, because there’s also a Big Bang Theory spin-off materializing, in addition to Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie adaptation. Additionally, fans can expect new seasons of hit returning shows, such as Silo, King of the Hill, Ransom Canyon, and The Walking Dead: Dead City.

1. Elle

Set in 1995, Elle is the official prequel to Reese Witherspoon’s Legally Blonde. The series narrative follows a teenage Elle Woods as she navigates the tumultuous waters of high school. Here, the ultimate L.A. girl must navigate a culture shock full of flannel-clad classmates, tricky friendships, first heartbreaks, and questionable 90s fashion choices. 2. Worst Neighbor Ever

A true-crime docuseries executive produced by Blumhouse Television, Worst Neighbor Ever is a 4-part spin-off of Netflix’s Worst Roommate Ever. 3. The Five-Star Weekend

5. The Westies

The Westies is a gritty 1980s crime drama set in New York during the Jacob Javits Convention Center construction. Created by Will Ferrell and Harper Steele, The Hawk is a comedy series about a late-career top golfer of 2004. Lonnie (Ferrell) puts aside a peaceful retirement and decides to chase one final major, even if it means dragging everyone he loves into the chaos with him.
10. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe

An official spin-off of the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows comic book shop owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) as he accidentally brings about the end of the universe.
