Movie Giveaway! Win Blu-Ray: The Taste of Things (Ended)

The Taste of Things Giveaway Blu-Ray

Enter our new movie giveaway and win a Blu-Ray of The Taste of Things, Trần Anh Hùng’s Cannes-winning film, out 15 April and worth £12.99!

Loud and Clear Reviews’ new movie giveaway is an exciting one, as you could win a Blu-Ray of The Taste of Things! This French historical drama was previously titled The PotauFeu. It had its World Premiere out of competition at Cannes last year, where it won the Best Director award. Writer-director Trần Anh Hùng and co-writer Marcel Rouff bring us a culinary story that mainly takes place in a kitchen, but that is ultimately a romance, underneath it all.

At the centre of it all is the relationship between cook Eugenie (Juliette Binoche, of Fire) and her employer, famous gourmet Dodin (Benoît Magimel, of Paris Memories). The former has been working for the latter for twenty years. It’s clear that the two love each other, but Eugenie has never wanted to marry Dodin, despite his many proposals, because she likes her freedom. But in the movie, as we watch them prepare these incredible dishes, something unexpected happens: Dodin decides to cook for Eugenie.

In our 5-star review of The Taste of Things, our writer Daniel calls the movie “a French foodie period drama that is simply magnifique“. The film will be released on digital & Blu-Ray on 15 April, 2024, and our friends at Picturehouse Entertainment gave us 3 Blu-Rays for the winners of our giveaway!
