Barry Keoghan

Born on October 17, 1992 in Summerhill, Dublin, Barry Keoghan is an Irish actor. The star first acted in various short films and TV series in 2010-2016, including shows Love/Hate (2010) and Rebellion (2016) and the 2016 film Trespass Against Us, alongside Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson. 2017 was the breakthrough year for the actor, who played the roles of Martin in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and George in Christopher Nolan’s war drama Dunkirk.

In 2019, he played a minor role in the series Chernobyl, followed by performances in indie darling Calm with Horses (2019), medieval epic The Green Knight (2012), and Marvel’s Eternals (2021), from Chloé Zhao. After a cameo in The Batman (2022), Barry Keoghan astounded us with the role that gave him global fame and got him an Oscar nomination: Dominic Kearney in The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). Yet, the role most audiences remember Keoghan for is Oliver Quick, protagonist of Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn (2023), which earned him BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
