Platforms such as Amazon Prime and Netflix are filled to the brim with sitcoms to cure your boredom, but there are some that we just can’t stop coming back to. Today we have compiled a list of some of the best sitcoms to watch. As you probably already know there’s no better way to watch your favourite sitcom than on a large TV screen for the ultimate cinematic experience.


FAMILY GUY

It’s no surprise that a lot of people think it’s one of the funniest sitcoms out there. Peter Griffin and his family have had us laughing out loud at our TV screen for decades with their crazy antics and ability to always find themselves in a situation funnier than the last. Family Guy has a certain type of humour that no other TV show can replicate. From evil genius babies to talking dogs, this sitcom has it all. If you’re looking for a light-hearted show that’s sure to make you chuckle, then Family Guy is one of the best sitcoms to watch now. THE SIMPSONS

It’s probably one of the most famous sitcoms ever made, everyone’s heard of The Simpsons! With over 700 episodes, there are not many situations The Simpsons haven’t yet found themselves in. With famous characters like Homer Simpson and Bart Simpson, The Simpsons is sure to be one of the most iconic sitcoms ever made. One of the best things about the show is the fact that it’s for all ages, anyone can sit down and enjoy the light-hearted comedy the show has to offer no matter what age you are! Every character is unique and lovable, it’s no surprise that The Simpsons and the rest of the characters in Springfield have had us laughing our socks off for over 30 years!


RICK AND MORTY

If you’re looking for something a bit different, Rick and Morty might be perfect for you. The show follows Morty, a teenager who finds himself constantly roped into crazy adventures with his alcoholic scientist grandfather, Rick (who is ironically the smartest man in the universe). With the use of his portal gun to jump between realities meeting all sorts of crazy characters, even alternate versions of themselves! There really is no such thing as “too far fetched” when it comes to this absurd sci-fi sitcom. Whether this show is for you or not it’s impossible not to give the writers credit for their creativity. Rick and Morty is also a fairly new show with its first episode airing in 2013. If you are bored of your usual generic shows, Rick and Morty is without a doubt one of the best sitcoms to watch.


THE INBETWEENERS

The Inbetweeners is without a doubt one of the best sitcoms to watch. When it comes to this show it’s almost impossible to find a bad episode. The Inbetweeners is an example of what a perfect comedy sitcom looks like. The show follows four hilarious misfit high schoolers (Neil, Simon, Jay, and Will) who try their hardest to fit in and usually end up doing the opposite. The adult humour the show has might not be for everybody but if you can see the funny side of the type of comedy The Inbetweeners has to offer then you’ll have found the perfect binge-worthy show that will have you falling out of your chair with laughter, every episode. For teenagers transitioning to adulthood, the show can also be relatable which makes things even funnier.


THE OFFICE

Offices are stereotypically boring, but not this one! The Office starring Steve Carrell Is a brilliant light-hearted comedy show all about a normal office filled with not so normal employees.  The satire style of comedy makes for a hilarious watch. Each character brings something funny to the show whether it be Michael trying desperately to be liked by everyone, or Dwight falling for another one of Jim’s pranks for the one-millionth time. There’s nothing not to like about the office, it has a feel-good, wholesome style of comedy that never fails to cheer you up which makes it one of the best sitcoms to watch if you have some free time on your hands.


MRS BROWN’S BOYS

This Irish based Sit-Com has had audiences falling out of their chairs laughing since the first episode aired in 2011, a lot of what people love about the show is how production errors and such are included in episodes. The cast is primarily members of the same family meaning that the actors have a lot of chemistry with each other, they also seem to enjoy shooting the show with actors often breaking character in a fit of laughter. The show follows Agnes Brown and her family of 6 boys who get into all sorts of hilarious situations, you can even watch Mrs Brown’s Boys live as it’s recorded in front of a live audience!
