The newest trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians has just been released; this is everything we know about Season 2 after watching it!

With the trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 finally being released, here is everything we know about the upcoming Disney+ series. It feels like fans have been waiting for a long time to get any news or announcements about the show after season 1 premiered almost two years ago, but the good news is that now the wait for season 2 is almost over.

The Story Revealed in Percy Jackson and The Olympians Season 2 Trailer

The trailer reveals a lot of the plot for the upcoming season, which fans of the book series will most likely be aware of already. Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will follow now thirteen-year-old Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) in yet another adventure. Upon his return to Camp Halfblood, Percy finds it under attack, weaker than ever, and with his best friend Grover (Aryan Simhadri) missing. In order to save his friend, and his new home, Percy and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) will embark on a quest that will take him into the infamous Sea of Monsters, where they must find the mythological Golden Fleece, delete old monsters, and face new threats from both new and old enemies.

Clarisse’s Role in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2

Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) is a familiar character to many as she featured in some episodes in the first season of the show, but as the trailer suggests, she will soon become one of the protagonists of the Disney+ series. In season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Clarisse will have a much more prominent role as she will lead her very own quest. This will allow viewers to learn more about her background and story, suggesting that the series may further explore other characters in the future that go beyond the main trio of season 1.

The Sea of Monsters: The Setting in the Trailer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2

Camp Half-Blood may partially remain the setting of season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but we can immediately tell from the trailer and from the images in the teaser trailer that Percy’s adventure will take him to much more dangerous, uncharted waters. The Sea of Monsters is populated by dangerous monsters and creatures, some of which we can expect to see in the second season of the Disney+ series, and also the location of the Golden Fleece that our heroes will try and retrieve. As those who have read the source material would know, the Demigods, many call it the Sea of Monsters, but the rest of us would know it as the Bermuda Triangle.

The New Characters in the Trailer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2

The season 2 trailer is not just taking us to new places in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians universe, but it is also going to add a number of new characters that might – or might not – help Percy in his newest adventures. The newly released trailer introduces us to one of the most important characters of the new season: Tyson, played by Daniel Diemer,  another cyclop and Percy’s half-brother. Another important character in the entire franchise is Thalia Grace (Tamara Smart), a daughter of Zeus who has been mentioned before but will only appear – in a rather unconventional way – in the second season.

And of course, it would not be Percy Jackson and the Olympians without some famous characters from Greek mythology. In season 2, Camp Half-Blood will gain a new counsellor in none other than Tantalus (Timothy Simons) who appears in one scene in the trailer. He is a demigod who has been released from his eternal punishment in the Underworld just for this. At the beginning of season 2, we will also be introduced to the Gray Sisters, played by Sandra Bernhard as Anger, Kristen Schaal as Tempest, and Margaret Cho as Wasp. As the name suggests, the trio is made up of three sisters who share one tooth and one eye. In the show, they run their own taxi service in New York and may be more useful to Percy than the demigod may initially realise.

As we can see in the trailer, season 2 of the show will also feature another important character of Greek mythology: Polyphemus, played by Aleks Paunovic, a cyclop who guards the Golden Fleece. Some other roles are yet to be announced, but we can expect more additions to the cast coming our way soon, especially in terms of Luke’s army of Demigods, which also briefly features in the official teaser trailer. The audience does not know most of them yet, but there will be a brand new character in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Alison Simms (played by Beatrice Kitos), who will join the ranks of Kronos, and Luke, in the fight that will soon follow.

The Release Date Revealed in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 Trailer

Luckily, we are not going to be waiting too long to see where Percy’s adventures take him next. At the end of the trailer, it is revealed that season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 on Disney+. It is likely that each episode of the series will come out weekly every Wednesday, which was the case for season 1 two years ago. Speaking of which, the first season of the show is also available to stream on the platform for those who might want to refresh their memory or even catch up with the story before the new episodes come out.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 may be a couple of months away, but the recent official teaser trailer is bound to get fans even more excited for the second chapter of Percy’s adventures. As for the future of the show, fans of the original book series written by Rick Riordan will be happy to know that season 3 has already been confirmed.
