It was January of 2017 and I was 14 years old. I begged my parents to go see La La Land with me to help feed my current obsession with Emma Stone ever since she appeared as Gwen Stacy just a few years prior. In that movie theatre, I experienced life, love, and culture in a way that I have never seen or felt before. Around a thousand new movies later, I consider myself a true film buff and an Awards Season enthusiast. Nowadays, I try to watch everything I can get my hands on to distract me from the everyday stressors of being in undergrad and I don’t see my love for film diminishing anytime soon.
