Joe Botten
Joe Botten (he/him) was born across the street from a movie theater he still visits today. His first act of film criticism came at age four when he walked out of Annie (1982), declaring, “This is bad.” Now a Minneapolis-based critic with a heart of gold dubbed The MN Movie Man, he’s known for sharp insights and spoiler-free reviews. Whether exploring indie gems or blockbuster hits, attending film festivals, or venturing to theme parks and wineries when movies aren’t on the menu, Joe brings a thoughtful, engaging perspective to every experience.
