Inspired by true events, Eating Me Up revolves around a psychologist named Daniel Dawson (Alfred Lamar Pierce II). When we meet him, he is battling his own demons: even though he tries to be there for his clients, he’s not doing very well mental health-wise. Our protagonist is on a downward spiral, but something changes when he meets a new client named Wendy (Claire Maultsby). She is battling bulimia, and Daniel becomes determined to save her, though in all the wrong ways.
One day, Daniel discovers that her lifelong dream has always been to sing, but her anxiety has prevented her from pursuing her passion up till now. Daniel arranges a performance for her, but it backfires: Wendy does something drastic that will see our psychologist try to prevent tragedy in a race against time.
