My love affair with independent film began at Manchester’s dearly departed Cornerhouse in the early 2010s. Ever since, I’ve tried to combine my love of film, literature and languages to uncover hidden gems and raise the profile of world cinema in the Anglosphere. Alongside my writing, I have worked at Phoenix Cinema and Arts Centre in Leicester and as part of the team behind Wigan and Leigh Short Film Festival.
